Executive Chefs at Home operates as a chef placement agency. We connect qualified culinary professionals with private households, estates, and event hosts. We are not an employer of the chefs in our network. Our role is to facilitate the matching, vetting, and placement process between clients and independent culinary professionals.
2. Nature of Relationship
We act solely as an intermediary between clients seeking culinary services and chefs seeking placement opportunities. Please understand the following:
- Chefs placed through our service are not employees of Executive Chefs at Home. The employment or contractual relationship exists directly between the client and the chef.
- We facilitate introductions, conduct vetting and background checks, and assist with placement logistics. The terms of employment, compensation, and working arrangements are agreed upon between the client and chef.
- We earn a placement fee for our matchmaking and coordination services. This fee structure is disclosed to all parties prior to placement.
3. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to the Executive Chefs at Home SMS Program, you agree to the following terms in addition to these Terms of Service.
Program Description
The Executive Chefs at Home SMS Program delivers transactional and promotional messages related to our chef placement services, including appointment reminders, consultation confirmations, service and placement updates, job opportunity alerts for chefs in our network, and occasional promotional offers.
Consent
You opt in by providing your mobile phone number through one of our website forms and affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages from us (for example, by checking an SMS consent checkbox or replying YES to a confirmation message). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of any service we provide.
Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. You are solely responsible for any charges your carrier imposes for sending or receiving messages.
Opting Out
Text STOP to cancel. After sending STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. You may also contact us at hello@executivechefsathome.com to be removed from the program.

Supported Carriers and Liability
The SMS Program is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and Cricket. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy and Compliance
Mobile phone numbers, consent records, and SMS messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Executive Chefs at Home SMS Program is operated in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
4. Background Checks and Vetting
We conduct professional vetting on chefs in our network, including credential verification and reference checks. Background checks are conducted only upon client request and at the client's expense; they are not performed on every chef by default. While we take reasonable measures to verify the information provided to us, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided by third parties. Clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence as they see fit.
5. Use of the Website
By using our website, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in all forms and communications
- Use the website only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems
- Not use the website to transmit harmful, offensive, or fraudulent content

- Executive Chefs at Home is not liable for any actions, conduct, or performance of chefs placed through our service. The client assumes responsibility for the employment relationship with any placed chef.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services.
- Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount of the placement fee paid for the specific placement in question.
- We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or suitability of any chef for a particular client's needs beyond our reasonable matching efforts.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Executive Chefs at Home, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your relationship with any chef placed through our services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Payment and Fees
All payments for our placement services are handled off-site via invoice. Payment terms, amounts, and schedules are outlined in individual service agreements between the Company and the client. Specific fee structures are discussed during the consultation process and agreed upon before any placement is finalized.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Greenwich, Connecticut.
